Kayak along the rocks and breathtaking caves

With a kayak along the rocks and breathtaking caves Portixol in Javea

The Costa Blanca finds its beauty in its 244 km of coastline.

Those who have visited this region before will surely recognize themselves in witnessing the height and endless view from the top of a cliff. Day after day, the clear blue sea smashes its waves against the rocks. A spectacle that leaves many a person dreaming away for hours.

The coast around Portixol beach is home to many secret coves, bays and caves with underground waterfalls.

Personally, I find it a delightful interpretation. Although I also have to admit that when I make this wonderful trip with my husbands house (of three) it’s touch and go. My gentlemen’s daily trip to the gym makes the ratio of speed and strength of paddling appear somewhat uneven compared to mine. And my men’s house also turns out to be more competitive than I already thought.

Wind through your hair, the salt water splashing over your face, the reflection of the sunlight that causes the colors of the sea to appear increasingly beautiful blue.

Along the way, relaxed mirror egg jellyfish bob around us (this remains a wondrous sight).

Hours of paddling along cliffs, rock formations and through breathtaking caves.

This tour is highly recommended for those who want to swap lazy days for action. Just feel your muscles (so I speak from experience 😉 good for back, abdomen, arm and leg muscles.

By the way, this wonderful tour is also definitely good to do with the slightly younger children or those who just want to take it a little slower. Just your own pace, let yourself be taken and led by a guide. The use of life jackets makes it a safe venture. The kayak is open so if you tip over once you’ll be back in in no time.

And further,

In a kayak, you use a double paddle as opposed to a canoe.

In the caves, you get the opportunity to take a look at the underwater world. A water full of life that you can admire in peace with snorkeling.

Strolling through the market in Moraira

Strolling through the market in Moraira on Fridays

There are several markets in the Moraira area every day of the week. On Friday mornings the market is in the main square in Moraira.

Personally, I love to take a stroll and buy local produce.

Moraira’s market is worth a visit.

Bohemian-style drinks in Javea/Xabia

Bohemian-style drinks

We like the place directly on the promenade the best. Starting the day in the morning with a cup of coffee. And the balmy summer evenings with a nice cold beer or a fine glass of wine. The atmosphere is casual, convivial. The service extremely friendly. Hours of people watching  or discussing the issues. Here in this place we meet friends, run into acquaintances on the promenade and entertain ourselves until the late hours.

A cozy and vibrant location to grab a bite or a drink.

Chabada on the boulevard of El Arenal making you smile since 1985.

The miradors- beautiful viewpoints

The miradors de Javea – A collection of beautiful viewpoints

From Javea you can drive a beautiful route along the various viewpoints.

Spectacular views of the landscape, beaches and bays. As many as 15 vantage points located among the 25 km of coastline. All viewpoints can be reached by car, bicycle or walking. By the way, the distance between them is far too far to visit all of them by leg carriage. Although we are quickly distracted by all the beauty we encounter along the way, we visit by car bolide (and to be honest, not all at once).

Cabo de San Antonio, for example, is located between Javea and Denia. As part of the Montgo Natural Park.

From this point, on a very clear day, you can see Ibiza in the distance.
